Toshiba launched the Satellite M105 Series notebooks incorporating the Intel Core Duo and Intel Core Solo processors for enhanced performance and mobility today.
The new Satellite M105 notebook line offers a 14.1-inch diagonal widescreen TruBrite display, a DVD SuperMulti Double Layer drive that reads and writes in up to 11 formats, a 5,400 rpm serial-ATA (SATA) hard drive for faster access to stored files and DDR2 533MHz memory.
It also includes a 5-in-1 media adapter and Express Media Player that lets users instantly access DVDs or CDs with the push of a button on the PC chassis without having to boot the operating system.
With prices starting at $1,149.99 in the US, the Satellite M105-S3021 features an Intel Core Solo Processor T1300 (1.66GHz, 2MB L2, 667MHz FSB), 100GB hard drive for generous storage of files, 512MB of memory and Microsoft Windows XP Home operating system.
A more advance version with more memory, built-in harman/kardon stereo speakers, a fingerprint reader, and Microsoft Windows XP Media Center will sell for $1,349.99.
Both models will also include four USB2.0, TV-Out (S-Video), iLINK IEEE 1394, RGB, RJ-11 modem (v.92), RJ-45 LAN, headphone and microphone ports. The chassis dimensions of the Satellite M105 series are 13.5 by 9.53 by 1.5 inches.
