Toshiba has unveiled a couple of 2-in-1 laptop/tablet combos that will come pre-installed with Windows 8.1 and feature massive hard drives in the tablet half.
The Satellite W30t and Satellite W30Dt are essentially the same device but with a different processor, fourth-generation Intel "Haswell" chipset or AMD A4-APU series respectively. Graphics are also determined by the processor used, so you get Intel HD 4200 or AMD Radeon HD 8180 graphics. And with the W30t, you also get Intel WiDi connectivity to mirror the screen wirelessly to a compatible display.
Other than that, they each feature a 13.3-inch HD IPS touchscreen display, up to 500GB HDD (which is situated in the tablet part, so can be used when detached), 4GB of RAM, a HD webcam with microphone, and stereo speakers with DTS Studio Sound.
Connectivity for both models includes a micro HDMI and micro USB port on the tablet, an extra USB 3.0 on the keyboard, a microSD card slot, wireless LAN, Bluetooth 4.0 and they are Miracast-ready.
The Toshiba Satellite W30t and Satellite W30Dt will both be available in the fourth quarter of 2013. Prices are yet to be revealed.
