Toshiba is having a laptop field day at the moment, as not only has it announced the launch of a super-slim portable business machine in the form of the Portege R830, but it has two more ultra portable laptops in its Satellite range - the Satellite R830 and Satellite R850.

Designed to provide a premium blend of power and portability, the Satellite R830 features a 13.3-inch screen and a stylish, premium magnesium alloy chassis, whilst the Satellite R850 provides a similar feature set, with a larger 15.6-inch high definition screen and a high strength resin body.

And apart from the screen size the laptops are pretty much the same, both getting the latest Intel CPU - presumably Sandy Bridge - along with a 500Gb HDD, 8GB DDR3 RAM and DVD-Super-Multi dual layer drive.

Connectivity is everything you'd expect, with USB 3.0, eSATA/USB 2.0 combo port with Sleep-and-Charge, Multi-Card Reader, VGA and HDMI; along with WLAN (802.11 b/g/n) Bluetooth 3.0 + EDR and webcam.

Along with the two laptops is a range of StorE Art 4 hard drives. Equipped with a super-fast USB 3.0 connection, perfect for quickly transferring files between USB 3.0 enabled laptops, each model in the StorE Art 4 range also features extensive storage capacities of up to 1 Terabyte.

For added durability, each model also has a rubberised rim for protection against knocks, bumps and drops.

The Satellite R830 and Satellite R850 will be available during the second quarter of 2011, and the StorE Art 4 range will be available during the first quarter of 2011.
