Medion has announced its latest gaming laptop, the Erazer Beast X30, and it packs some serious hardware.

A 12th Gen Intel Core i9 12900HK processor, Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti and 32GB of SK Hynix DDR5 mean this monstrous laptop can handle all the AAA games you can throw at it.

We were surprised to see such a laptop coming from Medion, which we are most familiar with as a brand found in the middle aisle of Aldi.

This machine, however, is very unlikely to find its way to discount supermarkets. Especially given its £2,699.99 price tag.

Instead, Medion says the Erazer Beast X30 will be available from select UK retailers including Overclockers, eBuyer, Box and Amazon.

The Beast X30 has a 17-inch QHD display running at 240Hz, it'll provide 100 per cent sRGB coverage for all of your creative needs, too.

The storage is as impressive as the rest of the spec, provided by dual 1TB Samsung PCIe gen 4 SSDs.

And, while you might expect this to be a hefty beast, at least some thought has gone into the portability. Medion says it has a 26mm thin Magnesium-Alloy chassis, along with 7mm narrow bezels on the display.

Perhaps most crucially, the keyboard has addressable RGB backlighting and is complemented by an RGB "Game Bar" across the front of the device.

The official release date is yet to be announced but the Medion Erazer Beast X30 is available for pre-order at some UK retailers.
