Logitech has announced the Logitech Unifying receiver, describing it as a convenient and clutter-free way for notebook users to connect multiple wireless keyboards and mice to their computers.
The tiny, 2.4GHz USB receiver is small enough (sticking out 8mm) that it can stay in the laptop when you're moving around and one Unifying receiver can be paired with up to six compatible Logitech mice and keyboards, presumably for those that enjoy a work and leisure keyboard slash mouse set up.
The Logitech Unifying receiver is debuting with four new products, the Logitech Wireless Keyboard K350, Logitech Wireless Keyboard K340, Logitech Marathon Mouse M705 and the Logitech Wireless Mouse M505.
The Logitech Wireless Keyboard K350 gets the company's Wave design, a cushioned palm rest and up to 3 years battery while the Logitech Wireless Keyboard K340 is a quiet, compact effort although with a full-size layout and number pad.
As far as the mice go, the Logitech Marathon Mouse M705 for right-handers can go up to 3 full years between battery changes claiming to use less than half the power of comparable mice. The Logitech Wireless Mouse M505 gets 15 months of battery life has an ambidextrous shape.
Due to go on sale in the UK in September, the Logitech Wireless Keyboard K350 and Logitech Wireless Keyboard K340 will be £54.99 and £34.99. The mice are due this month for £49.99 for the Marathon Mouse M705 and £34.99 for the Wireless Mouse M505.
