Logitech has announced its G13 advanced gameboard, a hybrid gaming keyboard that aims to make PC gaming easier.

"If you’re into serious gaming, there’s no better feeling than playing with the G13 gameboard by your side”, said Ruben Mookerjee, Logitech’s director of product marketing for gaming.

"Unlike other gameboards that focus only on programmability, the G13 advanced gameboard incorporates the principles of our award-winning Comfort Wave design. So whether you’re getting into World of Warcraft or walking into your next LAN party, the G13 gameboard gives you a powerful advantage over those forced to work with less".

Ergonomically shaped, the gameboard has been designed to complement other products in the G-Series range, such as the G15 keyboard for gaming.

It features three game modes, 25 programmable keys and a programmable analogue stick, offering 87 ways for you to control your game. You can even set up custom button-profiles for your favourite titles, and create macros without having to pause your game.

Other features on the gameboard include a 160 x 43 pixel GamePanel LCD that gives you live game stats and system info, and backlit keys, with hundreds of colours to choose from.

It also features onboard memory, which enables you to program up to five ready-to-play profiles, and pre-configured settings for a number of popular games, including World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade, Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.

The Logitech G13 advanced gameboard is expected in Europe in January, and will have an RRP of £74.99.
