Logitech has announced its latest gaming headset - the wireless Logitech F540.
Designed to work with both the PS3 and the Xbox 360, as well as being compatible with pretty much any media player (it works via an analogue-in on a base station), the F540 can connect with up to three devices at once.
On the headset you'll find the controls needed, including separate voice and game level volume settings, a mute option, and an input selector that lets you switch between any of your connected audio sources.
The cans are noise-isolating, the microphone is noise-cancelling and it connects to the base station via a 2.4GHz digital wireless signal.
There are 40mm laser tuned drivers on board and you'll get 10 hours of playback on a full charge.
"We set out to build a great wireless headset for people who like to play at night, but need to keep it quiet so they don’t disturb anyone trying to sleep", said Elliott Chin, Logitech’s senior manager of product marketing for gaming.
"The result is an amazing audio experience for console gamers, no matter when they like to play. The Logitech Wireless Headset F540 delivers superior sound coupled with voice chat and does it all without a single cable running between you and your console".
The Logitech Wireless Headset F540 is out in the US next month, and across Europe in December. Expect the headset to cost around £129.
