After Intel announced the launch of its two newest chips, the Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Extreme, computer manufacturers were quick to announce machines that would be equipped with these latest superfast processor.
Notebook manufacturer Rock has announced that it has plans to power the upcoming Xtreme CTX Pro and Pegasus 665 with Intel Core 2 Duo mobile processor when the chips are available at the end of August.
Rock calls the Xtreme CTX Pro "the ultimate mobile gaming notebook" as it runs on an Nvidia GeForce Go 7900 GTX graphics card has a 17-inch X-Glass screen.
The Pegasus 665 is a more mobile notebook for gaming and applications, with a 15.4-inch screen and an Nvidia GeForce Go 7600 card.
Pricing for the notebooks with the new chips will be available on the week beginning 28 August.
