Just a week ago, it launched three new additions to its EliteBook lappie line-up, and there were launches in June before this, but now HP has brought us even more.

The 2530p is a 12.1-inch model, for which portability is key.

It weighs just over 3lbs and is built to Mil-Spec 810F so is protected against dust and hot zones; and you also get the HP DuraCase, HP DuraKeys, HP DuraFinish, and HP 3D DriveGuard.

Inside - you get Intel's ULV Core 2 Duo processor, which Gizmodo adds is the same as X301 and probably MacBook Air refresh (if rumours are to be believed).

Drive-wise - you can pick from 80/120GB 1.8-inch SATA drive plus optical drive, dual 1.8-inch SATA, 120GB 2.5-inch 5400RPM, 160GB 2.5-inch 7200RPM with DriveGuard or 80GB SSD.

Other features worth a mention include a 2MP webcam, business card reader, and three flexible battery solutions.

And you also get integrated HP Mobile Broadband, Gobi technology, 4 Wi-Fi WLAN5 and Bluetooth.

The lappie comes with Genuine Windows Vista Business,
Genuine Windows Vista Home Basic, and Genuine Windows Vista Business with downgrade to Windows XP Professional custom installed.

UPDATE: The HP EliteBook 2530p will be available by early September starting at $1499. No news on the UK launch as yet.
