It looks like HP is trying not to miss out on the home computer revolution. With more suppliers and designs of desktop PCs HP has unveiled three new series.
The s3000, a6000 and m8000 models look like they've been designed to support all activities of modern computer usability but stay family friendly. The company has kept its standard box design, no different from the ordinary, and nothing too remarkable in features.
However, there are a couple of gems in there for example the attractive of the bunch is the relatively tiny HP Pavilion Slimline s3000 series with an AMD processor and 1GB of RAM.
You can configure the desktop with a TV tuner, a couple low rent video cards, and there's a Pocket Media Drive bay option.
The a6000 set has an Intel processor, 512MB of RAM, a Pocket Media Drive bay, integrated graphics but not much else.
The m8000 desktops have options for HD DVD drives, meaty dual core processors from AMD or Intel.
All of the computers come with Vista preloaded, which might be a bit hard on these limited specs. We will keep you posted on UK price and availability.
