Google has opened its first retail store within a store on London’s gadget street, Tottenham Court Road.

The new store within a store, first pioneered by Apple before it started opening shops of its own, has opened in the PC World/Currys superstore with the aim of informing customers what’s what about Google and its Chromebooks.

"Many things in life, like football and rock music, are best experienced in person. Chromebooks are no exception," said the company on the official Chrome blog detailing the news.

The new area is designed to let you spend time with a Chromebook, discover cool web apps and chat with Chrome specialists - just don’t call them geniuses.

Google says that it will be opening Chrome Zones in additional locations in the United Kingdom over the next few months.
