Canon has launched a new compact photo printer today in the guise of the PIXMA mini320 Compact Photo Printer.

Capable of printing 5 x 7-inch prints, the model will battle it out against new models from HP and Epson in appealing to photo fans who want to print on the move.

The new printer is the first in the Canon compact photo printer line-up to be able to print photo lab-quality images up to 5 x 7 inches and comes with a 2.5-inch LCD screen

Canon say the new printer takes approximately 40 seconds 52 seconds to print an image.

A new Auto Image Fix technology has also been included and according to Canon, the new technology analyses images to make sure each scene is optimized when compared with similar scene types such as Portrait, Snapshot and Night.

The estimated selling price of the PIXMA mini320 Compact Photo Printer is $179.99 in the US.

Unfortunately, we won't be be seeing this model in the UK or Europe as Canon spokesperson told that it's been deemed too similar to another Selphy model.
