Belkin is offering an "easy transfer cable for Windows 7" for those worried about getting their digital media, email, files, folders and settings from their old Windows PCs to their shiny new Windows 7 efforts.

Belkin claims its $40 cable offers a faster solution than burning CDs or setting up a network for file transfers or "any other" means of copying data.

The cable is said to offer a quick setup in three "easy" steps - install the software, connect the cable, and follow on-screen prompts.

The 8-foot cable will go on sale in the States on 23 October, a day after the general release of the new OS, but won't hit Europe (or Asia) until Q1 of 2010, by which time we'd imagine most folk will have worked it out via another method.
