Need a mammoth 4K monitor? Well, look no further: Asus unveiled on Thursday its PQ321 True 4K UHD Monitor.

The mouthwatering display specs include an LED-backlit IGZO panel with 176-degree wide viewing angles, as well as Ultra HD 3,840-by-2,160 resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio, 10-bit RGB support, and built-in 2W stereo speakers. It also sports DisplayPort and the US models will offer dual-HDMI ports inputs with Picture-by-Picture support.

"IGZO technology also gives reduced energy consumption compared to amorphous silicon and reduces bulk — at 35mm at its thickest point, the PQ321 is the thinnest 4K UHD monitor available today," said ASUS on it's website.

The ASUS PQ321 True 4K UHD Monitor is wall-mountable and comes with a stand that adjusts height, swivel and tilt. There's nothing on pricing yet, but it will initially launch in North America next month.

9to5Mac warned Mac users to wait before purchasing, however, as current top-of-the-line Macs might not be able to "drive the resolution at a decent frame-rate." Haswell-powered Macs will likely do the trick, though.
