Asus NX90 takes laptops wide, very wide
Asus has announced a new laptop at CES in Las Vegas that sports an 18-inch, 18:9 ratio widescreen display and Bang & Olufsen speakers.
The new model, which is incredibly large is made from a fingerprint-prone polished aluminium and runs Windows 7.
Going by the moniker of the ASUS NX90 Bang & Olufsen ICEpower notebook, catchy we know, the new laptop is so wide that the company has opted to put the trackpad to the right of the keyboard rather than beneath.
Making the computer even wider is the inclusion of two speakers featuring ICEpower technology that in Asus' own words: "flank a display reminiscent of high-end consumer flat screen televisions".
No word on pricing as yet, however Asus has confirmed that the new model will be hitting both the US and the UK in good time.
