Although no announcements were made during Apple's quarterly earnings conference call, rumours abound that the company has stopped shipments of the Mac mini.
Two "major" retailers in Europe have confirmed to US blog Gizmodo that they "can't order any more" of the small form factor desktop PCs.
First introduced in 2005 as Apple's response to the sub-$1000 computer category, the Mac mini was said to be created as a result of share-holder pressure.
The little computer has only received six updates in its time, and is currently a couple of gens behind Apple's other Mac models, leading it to be dubbed Apple's "unloved" offspring.
It's not clear if the rumours suggest Apple is killing off the Mac mini, or is refreshing or updating it, only time will tell and we'll keep you informed.
