Apple on Tuesday released version 10.8.4 of OS X Mountain Lion.
The OS X update, which comes a week before Apple's World Wide Developers Conference, is now available through Software Update on the Mac App Store. Apple recommended 10.8.4 for all OS X Mountain Lion users and said it features "fixes that improve the stability, compatibility, and security of your Mac".
The latest update specifically includes bug fixes and improvements like Safari 6.0.5, a fix for connecting to enterprise Wi-Fi networks, as well as improved FaceTime calls to non-US phone numbers, Exchange improvements for Calendar, enhanced VoiceOver compatibility with text in PDF documents and better compatibility when using mobile accounts.
Apple said 10.8.4 also resolved an issue that caused iMessages to sometimes display out of order in Messages, among other things. The complete release notes are available at Apple's Support webpage.
WWDC is Apple's annual conference generally for software developers and the latest improvements to iOS and OS X. It will take place between 10 June and 14 June and will likely showcase iOS 7 and a new version of OS X.
