Apple has just announced processor changes and price drops for its MacBook Pro with Retina display range.

Starting with the 13-inch model, the original version with 128GB of flash storage is still £1,249, but the 256GB flash storage model will now come with an upgraded 2.6GHz dual-core processor and cost £200 less at £1,449.

The 15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display now comes in with a 2.4GHz quad-core processor (2.3GHz previously) and the higher specified version will also gain a processor boost, up to a 2.7GHz quad-core chip.

The MacBook Air also gets a price cut, with the 13-inch model with 256GB of flash storage now available for £1,199.

Pocket-lint has checked out the online Apple Store and it seems it is still listing the old models and prices. However, Apple tells us that the new range will be available today. If you're in the market for a new MacBook, it'll be worth holding on for a short while.

UPDATE: The UK online Apple Store has now been updated with the new prices and specifications for all models. You can check it out at
