Acer unveils tablet inspired Aspire Timeline 1825PT

The Acer Aspire Timeline 1825PT is a cross between a conventional notebook and a tablet. In fact it's not really a cross, it's more of a notebook that can act a bit like a tablet.
First up, on the notebook side, it's got some fairly decent kit on board - an Intel Core 2 Duo SU7300 processor and a Mobile Intel GS45 Express chipset with integrated 3D graphics. There's a/b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1 and 3G are available too. Memory is up to 4GB when you buy, but this is expandable up to 8GB. Hard drives, you're looking at either 250 or 320GB. There's also a HDMI port available.
On the tablet side, the screen can be twisted and laid backwards, so to speak, on the keyboard to make tablet functionality easier. It's a multi-touch, 11.6-inch, touchscreen with a resolution of 1366x768.
Using the TouchPortal software you can see your pictures or play your media simply by dragging them onto the virtual wall. There's also find a touch optimised web browser.
Acer is stating up to eight hours of battery life can be had with the Aspire 1825PT. It costs either £599.99 or £699.99 depending on your exact specs and it's available now.
