Packard Bell has announced the launch of the EasyNote DT85, a 16:9, 1920 x 1080, Full HD, 18.4-inch widescreen LED backlit home entertainment notebook.

With all the usual "stylish design" boasts, the 440.5 x 298.5 x 41.5mm device is said to be "incredibly" thin and light, although no weight is given in the press info.

The large size allows for a numeric keypad, there's touch-sensitive keys for certain functions, while a multi-gesture touchpad means you're all set for two-finger scrolling, zooming and flicking.

With Intel Core 2 Duo processors, up to 4GB of DDR3 RAM and 1TB hard drive, options include Nvidia GeForce GT 240M or Nvidia GeForce G210M graphics.

Specs include a webcam, TV tuner, a Blu-ray drive and Dolby Sound Room tech, there's also HDMI to hook the new notebook up to a TV, while other in and outs come in with four USB ports and a 5-in-1 card reader.

The Packard Bell EasyNote DT85 is due to be available this month for around £699.
