Medion updates Akoya Mini E1210 netbook

Medion has announced an update to its Akoya Mini E1210 netbook. The refreshed version will now offer a new six cell Li-ion battery, a 160GB hard drive and Bluetooth connectivity via a dongle.
Medion promises a battery life of up to 5 hours, and there's also faster WLAN draft N wireless internet connectivity which should speed things up with a compatible router, etc.
Other specs - 10-inch TFT widescreen, 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor N270, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950, 1GB DDR2 SDRAM memory, a multi memory card reader and webcam - remain the same.
The tweaked E1210 retains its portable design with dimensions of 260 x 180 x 19mm (with the lid open apparently) and weighs 1.25kg including the battery.
The E1210 comes with Windows XP Home Edition including Service Pack 3 as well as other bundled bits, mainly from Corel.
Available in white or black and silver, the Medion Akoya Mini E1210 is priced at £279.99 and will be available from 5 March for a limited time while stock lasts in Aldi stores across the country.
