Archos has gotten official with its announcement of its 10 "mini laptop" otherwise known as a netbook.

Specs are pretty much as previously reported. Weighing in at less than 1.3Kg, the 10 gets a 10.2-inch, 1024 x 600 super bright LED screen and what's said to be an ergonomic keyboard.

It's Atom-powered, runs Microsoft Windows XP, gets 160GB hard drive, 802.11b.g wireless LAN, 10/100 Ethernet LAN, a 1.3-megapixel webcam, four-in-one memory card reader, a VGA connection, headphone and microphone jacks and three USB ports.

Software-wise, the 10 comes with Skype, a parental filter, Lotus Symphony and a 6 months free full version of BitDefender Antivirus 2009.

On the multimedia side of things, the netbook will offer instant access to the Archos Media Club for video on demand, Deezer for music, vTuner for internet TV and radio and Xnview photo software.

The Archos 10 will be available in the UK this month for £349.
