OQO, the company that makes the world's smallest fully-functional Windows Vista PC, has announced the new "model 2+" with Intel Atom processor, the world's first PC OLED display with worldwide 3G capability.

Based on the 1.86GHz Intel Atom processor, the OQO model 2+ claims to offer performance up to twice as fast as its predecessor and includes an embedded touchscreen.

Weighing less than one pound, the device is said to be "pocketable" with dimensions of 5.6 x 3.3 x 1inch.

The embedded OLED screen offers a fast response time, improves battery life and delivers a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio and a high resolution display.

The model 2+ gets Qualcomm's Gobi global mobile Internet solution, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g, Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR and boasts 3.5 hours battery life.

The OQO model 2+ will be available in the first half of 2009 with pricing starting at $999.
