ECS is the latest company to show its Origami Project UMPC efforts at CeBIT in Hannover, Germany.
The new model, simply called the H70 will be powered by a choice of either the premium performance Intel Pentium M ULV 1GHZ FSB 400MHZ with a 2MB L2 on-die cache or the value Intel Celeron M ULV 900MHZ, FSB 400MHZ processor with a 512 KB L2 on-die cache.
Like the Samsung model, the H70 will come with a touch screen 7-inch WVGA TFT LCD touch screen display that offers 800 x 480 resolution.
Measuring 225.5x144x.23/25 mm and weighing 830 grams the UMPC features Bluetooth and Wi-Fi along with "grab and go" docking for maximum connectivity. It comes with a 1.3 megapixel camera; built-in speakers and microphone; high definition audio codec and an integrated 3-in-1 card reader.
The ECS H70 operates out of its docking station for a measly 2 hours depending, of course, on its hardware and software configuration and ECS says the H70 will be available in selected markets in Q2 2006.
The company also used the show to launch a series of new personal media players for video, TV and audio.
