Honor will host a global press conference on 12 August 2021, it's first of this size this year. It has also confirmed that it is for the Honor Magic 3.

There have been several rumours on an Honor Magic 3 in the last few weeks and, if any of them are true, we expect this to be an exciting event.

Honor press conference announced for 12 August, Magic 3 expected photo 2

Honor itself has previously said that its next phone would come with the new Qualcom Snapdragon 888 Plus chipset, while a leaked render suggested the Magic 3 will come with the brand's first under-display selfie camera.

That would certainly elevate it to "Magic" status and give it a year-on-year upgrade - the Magic 2 had an innovative sliding display to reveal the front-facing cam.

Previous rumours even pointed to a foldable Magic phone, but we're not so sure on those now. It's more likely the Magic 3 will be the sole focus.

Honor has also confirmed that the event will online-only, which continues to be wise considering the ongoing pandemic. It starts at 12.30 BST on Thursday 12 August.

We'll update you if and when we get further information (and video stream details). For now, check out the image at the top of this page (supplied to us by Honor). A camera lens perhaps?
