After quite some build-up and a heck of a lot of leaks, Nvidia has finally revealed the next additions to its graphics card line-up. These come in the form of two GPUs in the 3000 series - the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti and the RTX 3070 Ti.

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti is now the company's flagship gaming graphics card. A device that Nvidia promises will offer "an incredible leap in performance and fidelity" that gamers will love.

The company says that the RTX 3080 Ti is able to run games twice as fast as the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti and one and half times faster than the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti at 4K. While the RTX 3070 Ti will offer similar performance increases when compared with the GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER.

As for specs, it seems that the previous leaks were right. The RTX 3080 Ti is set to get a memory boost with 12GB of GDDR6X of VRAM (2GB more than the 3080) supported by a 384-bit memory interface. It will also see an increase in CUDA cores. With this new GPU having 10,240 CUDA cores, which is a fair bit more than the 8,704 CUDA cores sported by the standard RTX 3080. Though it does have a slightly lower Boost Clock (1.67GHz) and Base Clock (1.37GHz).

All this power does come at a price though, with the RTX 3080 Ti set to cost $1,199/£1,049 when it launches on 3 June. This is no doubt partly down to the high demand for the GPUs and the shortage of components used to build them as well.

Unfortunately, this information comes in the midst of a severe shortage of semiconductors. Those shortages are wreaking havoc on the industry. This means even when these cards do launch you'll still have trouble getting hold of one. Though Nvidia says you'll be able to purchase both stock and factory overclocked GPUs from ASUS, Colorful, EVGA, Gainward, Galax, Gigabyte, INNO3D, MSI, Palit, PNY and Zotac.

Meanwhile, the RTX 3070 Ti is said to feature 8GB of GDDR6X memory. It will also have 6,144 CUDA cores, which is a leap over the 5,888 CUDA cores on the non-Ti 3070. It also has a 256-bit memory interface and a higher Boost Clock (1.77GHz) and Base Clock (1.58GHz) than the non-Ti version.

The RTX 3070 Ti will be available from 10 June for a much more affordable $599/£529.
