Britta O'Boyle
Features editor
Knowledges: Smartphones, smart home, and wearables
Location: London, UK
Languages: English, Swedish
(Pocket-lint) - Britta has been part of the Pocket-lint team for seven years, starting as a contributing editor before working her way up into the features editor chair.
You’ll often see her name on some of our biggest features, including many of the versus articles and the rumour round ups, but she is also responsible for ensuring all the other great features from other members of the team cover off everything you might want to know about.
Previous to joining the tech industry, Britta worked within interior magazines, covering the smart home and smart appliances before many knew what they were or what they entailed. Throughout her journalist career, Britta has travelled the world in search of a good story, while her dedication to delivering thorough reviews has seen her climb three mountains in 24 hours to test the accuracy of the 10 fitness trackers she was wearing.
Britta has a first class honours degree in Fashion Journalism from London College of Fashion, during which she gained experience from both GQ and the Daily Telegraph, while also learning the importance of good design whether that be clothing or a smartwatch. Her free time is mostly taken up by her demanding kids these days, but she absolutely adores travelling, food and great shoes.
You’ll never find her without her rose gold Apple Watch on, desperately seeking the completion of the three rings so she can justify the extra bar of chocolate.

Location: Ascot, UK
Languages: English
(Pocket-lint) - I've been a tech journalist for over 20 years. I first started writing about technology for The Times of London, before moving on to launch the video games channel on Amazon.co.uk in 2000.
Previous roles have included being the features editor for Computeractive, a PR Account Manager for Olympus, and a second stint at The Times as both a journalist and designer. In 2003 I started Pocket-lint with a budget of just £15. Since then Pocket-lint has grown to be a leading authority within the UK and US consumer tech scene.
Over the years I've questioned or interviewed leading tech industry figures from Steve Jobs, Steve Ballmer, Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk, Tim Cook, and numerous CEOs and founders. I am regularly quoted in UK national newspapers, websites from around the world, and on TV and radio. Highlights include appearing on the BBC Radio 4 Today show, World Business Report and the Sky News tech show, and as a judge on The Apprentice. A BAFTA member, I also advise companies on design, UX, UI, media training, and give talks on technology trends.
In my spare time, I like running, drinking wine, and watching movies, not necessarily in that order.
