Motorola has introduced a new pair of earbuds - and they look, um, interesting.

The earbuds, called simply Buds, feature some sort of neck collar that support the actual earbuds, which are described as ear stems, making them feel lightweight. Motorola says the overall design allows you to "go easy on your ears", meaning the ear stems won't feel heavy or cause fatigue.

Beyond the interesting design, Motorola's Buds will pair with your smartphone via Bluetooth and allow you to roam up to 150ft away. It's assumed that the untethered capability also adds to the "go easy on your ears" factor.

As for the ear stems, they sport premium HD audio and noise cancellation, a 10-hour battery life, and magnets for tangle-free securing to the collar. Other tech specs for the Buds include a mic, dedicated controls and a MicroUSB connector port.
