Denon has launched the high-end AH-NC732 on-ear noise cancelling headphones.

Designed for "total comfort in a private music listening enjoyment", the Denon AH-NC732's newly developed active noise cancelling circuitry claims to provide a reduction in outside noise by up to 99%.

The headphones offer ergonomically designed ear pads, soft leather outer coverings and high compliant urethane foam to fit comfortably over the ears and help with sound-blocking.

Denon's Acoustic Optimizer is said to ensure dynamic sound and deep rich bass response, while the headphones' 40mm drivers boast a natural tonal balance.

The headphones noise-cancelling gubbins take one AAA battery that's supposedly good for typical usage of 40 hours.

They weigh in at 160 grams, have a foldable design and come complete with a compact hard carry case as well as an airplane dual plug adapter, 3.5mm stereo plug adapter; 1/4-inch stereo headphone plug adapter, and detachable cables (0.7m and 1.5m).

The AH-NC732 are due to go on sale in November 2008 for £250.
