Plantronics has launched a new range of audio headsets specifically aimed at gaming, podcasting, internet telephony and multimedia needs.
Called .Audio, the PC headset range consists of 13 new headsets with the .Audio 340, .Audio 510 and .Audio 550 stereo headsets headlining the list.
The Plantronics .Audio 340 will feature a pressure-free, behind-the-head headband that rests above the neckline and have soft, swivel-mounted ear cushions. Geared towards the internet chat and VoIP communications crowd, the .Audio 340 features a noise-cancelling microphone to enhance speech recognition, while the QuickAdjust pivoting boom promises good microphone placement. The .Audio 340 will retail for £24.99
The Plantronics .Audio 510 USB and .Audio 550 DSP are supposed ideal for multimedia applications like gaming, music, and movies as well as recording podcasts.
The .Audio 550 DSP features a digital signal processing chip for actively eliminating background noise, and PerSono Audio Control Centre Software, which provides music lovers with full control over microphone and audio characteristics like volume, bass and treble for balancing between hip hop, rock and classical.
The .Audio 510 USB and .Audio 550 DSP will retail for £39.99 and £69.99 respectively.
