After Quiksilver's success appearing on JBL headphones and opening its recording studio, the surf company has created its own headphones, the QS-1 HD.

The QS-1 HD features a "Sharing Plug" that allows others to plug into the headphones and piggy-pack the signal so they can listen in. But sharing music isn't where the design influences of DJ Victor Aime stop.

The QS-1 HD also features interchangeable cushions allowing users to switch from an on-ear to an over-ear version as they need. And the quality of sound, Quiksilver claims, is powerful with low distortion thanks to the 40mm drivers.

Quiksilver's surf heritage isn't ignored as the headband is made from ultra resistant and flexible TR-90 Nylon. Even the detachable coil cable with aluminium plugs and 24K gold contacts is made to look like a surfboard rip cord.

The Quiksilver QS-1 HD can be bought now, in black and red with iOS compatible cable, for £125. There is also a lower spec QS-1 version, without interchangeable ear cushions and with a standard cable, for £90 in four different colours.
