Rainbow Six Extraction review: Taking things slowly

Extraction takes the gunplay of Rainbow Six Siege and offers a co-op tactical shooter against - not terrorists or criminals - but aliens. (image credit: Ubisoft)
There's a surprising amount of story to be found in Extraction for those who want it, but it's mercifully quick with its introductions at the game's opening. (image credit: Ubisoft)
Effectively, the world has been invaded by goopy aliens called Archaeans, and you've got to fight them. (image credit: Ubisoft)
You'll pick from a roster of characters with unique abilities and go on missions in threes, or dive in solo. (image credit: Ubisoft)
You can have a few objectives per mission, with each divided into three locations that get harder as they go. (image credit: Ubisoft)
If things get too rough you can always extract from the zone with lower rewards, to make sure you don't just die. (image credit: Ubisoft)
If you do die, you'll have to mount a rescue mission on a later run, to be able to use that operator again. (image credit: Ubisoft)
With tight shooting, Extraction is fun in a team of three, but might not have the longevity to keep you playing for months on end. We shall see... (image credit: Ubisoft)
