Microsoft has announced that the online quiz network that was due to be released as part of the New Xbox Experience will be delayed until next year.

Xbox Live Primetime was due to arrive alongside the NXE on November 19th.

However, Microsoft has said that the delay is "necessary" in order to "ensure a smooth launch of the system's new user interface."

The idea behind Live Primetime is that it will be a range of virtual game shows that will take place at certain times over Xbox Live. Live users will then be able to pit their wits against one another in real time.

As far as we know though, this is the only thing to fall from the NXE update, which will include features like a brand new interface, Avatars, full game installs and internet access to the Microsoft Store among other things. Not long to wait now...
