A lorry, containing £750,000 worth of Xbox 360s, has been hijacked by thieves near a depot in Staffordshire.

The robbery comes just a week after a separate incident at the same depot, operated by Hellmann Worldwide Logistics. A week ago a trailer containing Xbox 360s worth £260,000 was taken.

Staffordshire Police are appealing for witnesses to the hijacking, which happened on Monday shortly after 5am on the A38.

"We are appealing for information from anyone who is offered these games in suspicious circumstances, such as in a pub, at a car boot sale or off the back of a lorry", said Peter Stevens, of Staffordshire Police.

The console which costs between £200 and £300 is one of the must have Christmas gadgets following the delay of Sony's PlayStation console after it has been delayed until March.
