Microsoft has announced an update for the YouTube application for its Xbox One next generation console that will make it easier to watch and share Game DVR clips.

The update will start its global rollout tomorrow, Tuesday 8 April, and will integrate Game DVR and Upload features. You will be able to record a video clip of in-game action using the Game DVR functionality, edit it in Upload Studio and share it directly to your YouTube channel.

Other features being added include the ability to watch YouTube videos in Snap mode. Plus, you will be able to add individual YouTube videos as Pins, earn Media Achievements and add your YouTube channels to OneGuide (in the US) to access them alongside normal TV listings or App channels.

Microsoft has also announced a partnership with GoPro, with a dedicated GoPro Channel app launching on Xbox 360 this Tuesday. An Xbox One version will follow later in the year.
