Microsoft has released its first advertisement for the Xbox One, conveniently timed for the beginning of the NFL regular season on Thursday. The television spot does just what you'd think, pitching the Xbox One's NFL integration including the ability to watch live games and manage fantasy teams.

Interestingly, the advertisement doesn't even mention gaming, once again signalling a shift that was first highlighted at Microsoft's Xbox One launch event in May. As well as NFL integration, Skype video calling functionality right from the Xbox One was also highlighted.

Microsoft announced the 22 November release date for the Xbox One earlier this week. Now that customers know how long to save up for their extra change, the company has the responsibility of marketing the hell out of the console to sway opinions away from the PlayStation 4. We expect advertisements roll out feverishly in the coming weeks.
