Microsoft has announced a limited-edition Tomb Raider Xbox 360 controller, along with partners Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics at CES 2013 in Las Vegas.

The controller will be the perfect way for anyone with a Lara Croft infatuation to show their commitment to the first lady of gaming.

But rather than being a character controller fashioned after the curves of the buxom CGI beauty, artists Crystal Dynamics say that the design was inspired by Lara's climbing axe.

The controller features a two-layer finish with laser etching used to create the worn appearance, with some nice grubby fingerprints to finish things off.

The controller also has a customisable D-pad and a wireless range of 10 metres.

The Xbox 360 Tomb Raider Limited Edition Wireless Controller will be available exclusively at Game in the UK, and those who buy it will get an exclusive playable character Scavenger Archer to download.

The next iteration of Tomb Raider, or should that be first iteration as the story cover the origins of Lara Croft (trailer below), will be hitting the Xbox 360 on 5 March 2013, the first platform to get the game.

The limited edition Tomb Raider Xbox 360 controller will cost £39.99.
