Xbox 360 fans jealous that PS3ers are having all the racing-sim fun with Gran Turismo 5, may well be consoled with the announcement that Forza Motorsport 4 is coming next year, and not only that - it's bringing Kinect action to the popular series as well.

Turn 10 Studios used the Spike TV Video Game awards to give racing fans a first glimpse of the title, and we've also now had confirmation that "Forza Motorsport 4 will redefine the racing genre with controller-based and Kinect for Xbox 360-enabled gameplay to create the ultimate driving experience".

As well as the Kinect control options, there will also be a Top Gear tie-ins.

"Forza Motorsport 4 will be the most expansive and vividly realistic automotive experience across any console, bringing you closer to the edge than you’ve ever been before," read an official statement.

"Through the power of Kinect, players will be able to step through the TV screen and jump into the driver’s seat while the engaging controller-based experience will let you take on the bone-jarring physics, unparalleled levels of customisation, and rosters of dream cars and tracks"

Forza Motorsport 4 will launch in the Autumn of 2011.
