Attention old-school gamers: Final Fantasy V for Android has just landed on Google Play.

First released in 1992, Final Fantasy V is the fifth installment in the Final Fantasy series. It's a popular RPG game developed by Square Enix that has been ported to many gaming systems, but it has only just launched for Android. The high-resolution version of the game also released for iPhone and iPad in March 2013.

Square Enix Europe revealed last week on Twitter that the title would soon be available for Android lovers when it posted the following tweet: "Final Fantasy V will be coming to Android devices on Thursday September 26."

While Pocket-lint hasn't tested the Android version yet, many reports have claimed that it features the same bells and whistles as the iOS port, including extended job classes and new, enhanced graphics. Check out the recentlyposted trailer below for more details, or just download it on Google Play.

The game costs $15.99 (£10) and requires Android 4.0 and up, though it has been live only for a few hours and already has a 4.5-star rating based on more than 50 reviews.
