As GTA on the PSP hits the shops in the UK, its PlayStation 2 and PC brothers have cleaned up at this years Golden Joystick Awards.

The title, which is nominated for a Fluffy in the Awards 2005 for Best PC or Console Game scooped up five gongs, including 'Best Soundtrack', 'Playstation 2 Game of the Year' and the coveted award of the 'Ultimate Game of 2005'.

Over 200,000 gamers voted for the nominees, making this years Golden Joysticks the biggest since the awards started 23 years ago.

Hogging the limelight was no walk over for Grand Theft Auto, with Halo 2 and Resident Evil 4 snapping at the heels of Rockstar Games' international hit, which has sold an amazing 1.5 million units copies across Europe alone.
