Razer has announced a new colour scheme for a selection of its gaming accessories and laptop: Quartz Pink. It'll certainly divide opinion, as it has here on Pocket-lint.

Leading the way is a "hot action pink" version of the company's gaming laptop, the Razer Blade Stealth, which will be available in the US, China and Canada.

It is effectively the same as the current model, with up to Intel Core i7 processing, 13-inch Full HD display and 13 hours of battery life. However, its aluminium case has been bonded with the Quart Pink colour through an electrochemical process.

You can nab one in those countries for $1,599 from 14 February (Valentine's Day).

The rest of the pink range will be available in Europe, including the UK, also from Valentine's Day.

These include a special edition Razer Basilisk mouse for £64.99, Razer Kraken Quartz Edition headset at £79.99, Razer Raiju Tournament Edition gamepad for £149.99 and a Razer Huntsman Chroma-lit keyboard, also priced at £149.99.

They are all pretty garish in pictures, but might not be less so in the flesh. We're not entirely sure whether the world really needs pink gaming accessories though, especially as a Valentine's Day limited edition treat, or whether being more inclusive in the games themselves would be a better idea.

At least the Quartz Case for Razer Phone 2 can be added and taken off again at your leisure. It'll be priced at €29.99. We're still awaiting UK details for that particular item.
