Sony's half price sale on PS3 SDK for developers
|

Sony has halved the price of a software development kit that designers need to make games for the PlayStation 3, the BBC reports.
Prices for the PS3 development package will be slashed to around $10,000 in the States and 7500 euros in Europe.
This is an a desperate attempt to "woo" game designers to create games for the high-tech console, that has suffered from a lack of big name titles since launch.
Sony clearly admits that the price cut is part of its efforts to cooperate with software developers in the hope that they will design more games for the PS3.
A recent price cut, and the introduction of a cheaper, pared down model has seen sales of the console rocket in recent weeks.
