Cosmic Red
The new red DualSense controller is inspired by the vivid red hues found throughout the cosmos. (image credit: Sony Interactive Entertainment)
Same button configuration
Apart from the colour, the buttons and feature set of the new controllers are the same as the standard model. (image credit: Sony Interactive Entertainment)
Adaptive triggers
That includes the adaptive triggers on the top that offer varying levels of force feedback. (image credit: Sony Interactive Entertainment)
Striking
The red model is certainly striking, with the new colour offset by its black elements. (image credit: Sony Interactive Entertainment)
USB-C connectivity
As with the usual DualSense, the new model comes with USB-C connectivity. You can charge it through this port too. (image credit: Sony Interactive Entertainment)
Midnight Black
The black version of the new DualSense is perhaps more traditional when it comes to PlayStation. The first DualShock 4 was black. (image credit: Sony Interactive Entertainment)
Two shades
There are actually two different shades of black used on the variant, plus grey accents to make it stand out even further. (image credit: Sony Interactive Entertainment)
Haptic feedback
Again, as with the white and red models, the black version sports the proprietary haptic feedback that can help immerse you in games through tiny vibrations. (image credit: Sony Interactive Entertainment)
Coming soon
Both the black and red DualSense controllers will be available from "next month" - ie. June 2021. (image credit: Sony Interactive Entertainment)
