Sony has officially confirmed the app line-up that will be available for the PS4 on its release this Friday, 29 November.

The UK will be happy to see a selection of BBC offerings including the iPlayer, BBC News and BBC Sport. There will be a total of 18 app services in the SCEE region at launch. Over 20 more will arrive in spring of 2014, including TuneIn radio, Game One, Filmo TV and MUBI.

Other services the UK can expect at launch include Music and Video Unlimited, IGN, VidZone, both Lovefilm and Netflix and even Demand 5. Yup, we were shocked it got there before 4OD and ITV too.

If you’re getting a PS4 at launch you can look forward to using the apps from boot-up with plenty more later next year. And 4OD, we expect to see you in that line-up.
