Some have suggested that not only has the Xbox One got the best launch game line-up, but its 2014 is looking slightly rosier too. This has mainly been attributed to the fact that Titanfall, the game by Respawn Entertainment which features many of the former Infinity Ward team behind Call of Duty titles in the past, is an Xbox and Windows exclusive. There will be no PS4 Titanfall.

However, it has now been reported that while the first game in the major new franchise will be platform specific, there's a very good chance its sequels will not. Titanfall 2 is very likely to come to the PlayStation 4.

It was the words of Blake J Jorgensen, an executive at publisher Electronic Arts, during an investors' call last night that prompted some exciting talk among Sony fans. "I'm sure that there will be future Titanfalls at some point that may be on multiple product platforms," he said.

Respawn previously confirmed that it would develop titles for PS4 in the future, it seems Titanfall 2 could be its first.
