PlayStation 3 owners have been browsing the new Indie Games category that Sony introduced on the PlayStation Store more than a month ago, but now the company has opened the category to PS Vita owners as well, allowing mobile gamers to discover the latest independent titles.

Sony PlayStation is headlining Hotline Miami at launch, as it is now available for PS Vita and PlayStation 3. There are 53 titles currently in the Indie Games category. Some of the more popular ones include Limbo, Guacamelee, Sound Shapes, Machinarium and Thomas Was Alone.

The company said many more games would hit the store soon. Specifically, there are over 50 indie titles now in development for PS Vita. A few of the upcoming indie games include Spelunky, Terraria, Flower, Luftrausers, Hohokum and Counter-Spy. The trailer below highlights all the new games.
