Disappointed that the Sony "Future of PlayStation" event went by without a single glimpse of the PS4 itself? Well, you're not alone, the president of Sony Computer Entertainment Japan has claimed even he hasn't seen the final design of the PlayStation 4 console.

Speaking to Japanese gaming site 4Gamer, Hiroshi Kawano hinted that the final look of the PS4 may not be finalised yet. "If I'm being honest," he said. "I also haven't seen its final design. Even the controller we showed today, I saw the final design around yesterday or so."

He also revealed that the DualShock 4 controller was codenamed "Jedi" internally.

Including this revelation, there is now enough evidence to suggest that the PlayStation 4 doesn't exist as a working model yet. Pocket-lint suspected that the machines used to host the demo games during the press event were in fact the Orbis development kits, hence the lack of an equipment unveiling.

As has been rumoured many times before, we strongly feel that we will first get to see the console itself at E3 in June. In fact, considering what we've heard from our sources, we're willing to bet the house on it.
