Sony is set to unveil the next-generation Playstation console at a February event. Not much is known about the console besides its powerful specs, but a new report claims we'll see a redesigned controller.

According to Edge, the next-generation Playstation dubbed Orbis will feature a same-sized controller as the Playstation 3's infamous DualShock controller, but it will have a small touchpad in the middle. The touchpad will reportedly take from the Playstation Vita's rear touchpad technology.

The touchpad will replace the Select, Start, and PS Buttons. A new Share button will also be featured on the controller that will allow screenshots and video to be shared, according to the report. The Playstation 4 will be able to record 15 minutes at a time of the screen.

We're still waiting for details to unfold, but according to recent reports, the next-generation Playstation will launch by the end of year in-time for Christmas sales. One report claimed the launch in Europe would be delayed until 2014.
