It looks like Nintendo is going to make its own Android tablet. Could this be a gaming tablet like nothing that’s come before it?

It could be. But not in a good way. Well it is good, it will be an educational gaming tablet. But that doesn’t sound like much fun.

These rumours appeared after numerous tweets from Ninty developer Nando Monterzao, whose tweets were swiftly removed. "Experimenting with a tablet of Nintendo, the system is based on android, fully modified and unified as a database of the tablet," he wrote.

But before you give up hope on the fun factor it looks like some classic titles may get involved. Or at the very least we can hope for some classic Nintendo characters to guide kids through the learning games environment. Perhaps Mario, the plumber, will be teaching the little’uns all about angles.
