The Amazon Kindle ebook reader is for reading books isn't it? Well that was until EA decided that it would launch Scrabble for the device, bringing with it a chance to have a break from reading your favourite novel.
"With Scrabble for Kindle play the game you know and love - anytime, anywhere," reads the sales blurb on the Amazon.com shopping page.
Gamers will be able to "Pass N' Play" with a friend, challenge the Kindle, or play a solo game say EA with a Best Word feature, as found on other Scrabble apps, also present letting you create the highest scoring word possible.
"Scrabble will be the first 3rd party game release on Kindle, Amazon's wireless reading device, once again demonstrating EA's consistent innovation in electronic entertainment," said EA.
You can even pause the game any time and pick it up later.
The app costs $4.99 (half the price of the iPad app) and is available for all Kindle models including the Kindle DX.
